Happy Girl

So grown up!  This is a cute outfit my mom bought Lois for Christmas.  Don't you love the shoes?  I do.

Smiling for the camera.  I think she's finally gotten the hang of smiling for that weird shiny silver thingy...:-)

This was the day Lois turned 7 months old.  I can't believe how the time has flown.

I made this makeshift "playpen" for Lois and she loves it!  In other news, I think Lois thinks books are for eating not reading.  We'll have to continue to work on that.  I've now limited her to one book that she can eat - otherwise when she realizes they aren't for eating, she'll have none left.

Jason captured these pictures over Christmas.  I'm in love with them.  I love this girl.

Lois and me in our "Jenny from the Block" matching outfits.

Here we are trying to imitate the classic Lois face.  I think Jason got it better than I did!
Fun with CoUsINs!!

Farewell, Elder Stopa!

There's nothing like a good ol' farewell and open house!  While we were in Utah, we were able to attend Jason's cousin's farewell.  It was a great chance to see a bunch of family and celebrate this exciting new adventure with Chris!

Congratulations, Chris!  We love you and can't wait to hear of your missionary adventures.

Fun with Grandma & Grandpa Wright - and Uncle NATE!

Lois loves her Grandma Wright - who we affectionately call Grammy Janny!  We had a great time with you guys and can't wait to come back and visit!

Uncle Nate!  Lois also loves her Uncle Nate and her "grandpa stinky" - we love you guys!

And on an exciting note - we got to meet Uncle Nate's cute girlfriend and we loved her.  It is about time someone woke up and smelled the coffee and snatched him up!  We love you all!
Cousin Stella and Lois

Lois loves other babies - especially her cousin Stella!

She loved Stella...I don't know if the feeling was quite as mutual with Stella.  She kept turing her body away when Lois would try to touch her!  So cute.

What does a six-month old love more than anything?  Wrapping paper, magazines, paper of any kind...she ate her fair share of paper Christmas morning.  We're pretty sure she's gotten her ink intake to last her through the century.

...paper and her "fancy nancy" doll!
Dashing Through the Snow - Christmas Edition

Christmas was fantastic this year and we definitely got a white Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my family this year.

Dashing through the snow...

We had a great two weeks in Utah visiting friends and family for Christmas break!  I've been on a blogging fast, so I apologize for the flurry of posts to make up for the last three weeks!

First and foremost, Jason and I celebrated four fabulous years of marriage on December 18th!  I think it was one of our most romantic anniversaries ever...we got to spend ALL day together.  In. The. Car.  Driving to Utah.  With a six-month old.  Now, for many, this sounds absolutely horrific, but to be honest, it was really great.  We actually got to sit and talk and enjoy beautiful scenery together.  Plus, our baby girl was a rockstar traveler!  We only had to stop twice for necessary eating/potty breaks - but that's it!  She was seriously the best.  We think we'll keep her for a little longer.  :-)  We spent the night with my mom's cousin in St. George.  These guys are so awesome.  We loved catching up with them.   We arrived in Orem the following day just in time for a crazy-huge snow storm.  We were lucky to not hit any bad weather on our way up to Utah.

We were so lucky to see our best friends, Rachel and Todd and their cute little girl, Audrey (and coming soon baby boy Nelson, too!)  They currently live in Ann Arbor while Todd does his residency there.  They live WAY too far away and we miss them terribly!  In Washington, DC we lived only three floors above them in the same apartment building and it was the best set up ever.  Seriously?  We had it so great!  We love and miss you guys!  It was so great to see you!

We went up to North Ogden to see them and ate at Kirk's Drive-In - which is owned by the parents of some of our other really great friends that we made in Washington, DC - the Stowe's.  Perfect timing...because they had also just gotten into town and we got to see them too!

Angie and Spence live in Southern California and the last time we got to see them was two Octobers ago!  Their newest addition, Ingrid, was born only two weeks after Lois, so it was so much fun to meet her!  As you can tell, Lois was very intrigued by darling Ingrid!  We loved seeing their cute family.  Their three other kids are so grown up.

Cute Audrey
And here's Lois's first feast at Litza's Pizza!  Can you believe she's big enough to sit up in a high chair?  She was loving the plate and also found the garlic bread to be delicious!
