Busath Reunion 2011

In August, we made a whirlwind trip to Utah/Montana to attend the first Alan Busath reunion - and it did not disappoint!  After driving 800 miles to Utah, we spent a few days saying hi to my family and then got back in the car and drove another 300 miles to West Yellowstone for the reunion.  We spent time in the park, ate Arrowleaf ice cream, cruised the shops, went to the Playmill, got some sunshine and water time in, spent time with family and ate lots of yummy food!

Thanks for the good memories, Busath gang!  We're looking forward to the next one to be held in California in a few years.  It shouldn't disappoint.

I love these guys.

Here's a picture of my family
*there's another boy added to the mix since this picture was taken!*

We did get a decent family picture while there.
Well, Lois gets an A for effort.  And Mr. Dead Pan - well, he's just a chill as ever!

And off to Yellowstone!
Here we are eating some delicious Mexican food from the Taco Bus in West Yellowstone.  It is literally a bus. :)

Julie, Matt and Sam

Steve, Mari, Clint and the babes

Nancy, Scott and Cam

The Busath gang - Andrea, Camille and Ed.
Andrea got called to the Taiwan/Taipei mission and we're so excited for her!  She announced at the reunion that she was turning in her papers.  Yay, Andrea!

Me and Simon

Grandma Jan bought this cute sweatshirt for Simon because we're wimpy Arizonans.

Lois, Maya and McKenna.  What cuties!

Lois loves her grandma!  And her Uncle Nate.

It was rather windy that day.
Nothing like a big whiff of rotten egg smell from the geysers!  DEEElicious!

The Wright Men

 How precious is this?

Loving Lois' face in this one.

....and this one, too.  What a goof!

Lois never and I mean NEVER falls asleep like this.  Just a good indication that she had a blast!  :)

Then we drove the 300 miles back to Utah, spent the night and drove the 800 miles back to Arizona.  It was a lot of driving for as short of time we were able to spend, but it was totally worth it!  Our kids are total troopers.  Another wonderful aspect of this trip is we got to see the Nelson's up in Park City.  We can't wait to live closer to those guys!!

What a long road trip!!! You are seriously brave. I would have needed a big box of dramamine to get Payton through that. But at least you had a great time and got to see your family. Family is always worth the throw-up and the 1-inch deep layer of crumbs in the back seat.
Miss you girly!

That looks and sounds SO fun! Love all the pictures! These are pretty much the only pictures I've seen from the reunion...thanks for posting some! We are so sad we missed it but so glad everyone had such fun! Hoping to make it to California 2013!
